Your “home away from home” awaits at Chartiers Country Club. Chartiers is a private club experience ideally located just 10 minutes from both Downtown Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh International Airport. It is the perfect place to unwind with family while also having the ability to entertain. It offers the finest outdoor recreation facilities on the newly updated Veranda dining, fully staffed Olympic pool & completely renovated Willie Park, Jr. designed championship golf course.

Below you will find information about our various types of membership. Chartiers Country Club Membership Classifications

Permanent Golf Membership:

A permanent member shall be a person at least twenty-one (21) years of age and the holder of a Certificate of Permanent Membership. The permanent members and the permanent senior members are the only membership classifications with voting privileges. Each permanent member shall have full use of all the facilities of the Club including the golf course, subject to such rules, policies and limitations as may be established by the Board from time to time.

 

Intermediate Golf Membership Ages 31-39:
An intermediate member II shall be a person who is at least thirty-one (31) years of age but less than forty (41) years of age. Each intermediate member II shall have full use of all the facilities of the Club including the golf course, subject to such rules, policies and limitations as may be established by the Board from time to time. Intermediate members II have no voting rights and hold no Certificate of Permanent Membership.
Intermediate Golf Membership Ages 21-30:
An intermediate member I shall be a person who is at least twenty-one (21) years of age but less than thirty-one (31) years of age. Each intermediate member I shall have full use of all the facilities of the Club including the golf course, subject to such rules, policies and limitations as may be established by the Board from time to time. Intermediate members I have no voting rights and hold no Certificate of Permanent Membership.
Social Membership:
A social member shall be a person who is at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Social members shall have full use of the facilities of the Club, subject to such rules, policies and limitations as may be established by the Board from time to time, except that the social members’ golf privileges will be limited as set forth in the golf course rules and regulations established by the Board of Directors.
Interim Golf Membership:
An interim member shall be a person who is at least twenty-one (21) years of age and who has not previously held an interim membership. The term of this membership is limited to twelve (12) calendar months. Each interim member shall have full use of all the facilities of the Club including the golf course, subject to such rules, policies and limitations as may be established by the Board from time to time. Interim members have no voting rights and hold no Certificate of Permanent Membership.
Corporate Membership:
A corporate member shall be a business entity or principal of a sole proprietorship with no rights other than to designate certain individuals within its organization to receive certain privileges as described below. A corporate member shall be entitled, from time to time, to submit for the Board of Director’s approval the names of from one to four designees of the corporate member’s firm to have use of all the facilities of the club, including the golf course. Such designees of the corporate member are charged dues, fees and assessments at the same rate level as permanent members but shall have no voting rights nor hold a Certificate of Permanent Membership. The corporate member may change designees from time to time by submitting the name of the designee to be resigned from membership and submitting the name of a new potential designee for Board approval along with payment of a change-of-designee fee, as determined by the Board from time to time. Each firm holding a corporate membership is responsible for all charges incurred by their corporate designees. The Board of Directors, in its discretion, may authorize up to six (6) Corporate Memberships for firms approved by the Board of Directors.
House Membership:
A house member shall be a person who is at least twenty-one (21) years of age. House members will be entitled to use all dining facilities and attend club-sponsored social functions. A house membership allows use of the Club’s golf course and swimming facilities only as an accompanied guest of a non-house member with rights to use the golf course and/or swimming facilities (as applicable) and upon payment of the appropriate guest-of-member fee by the authorized member. Use of the golf facilities and swimming facilities by each house member is limited to a combined maximum of six (6) times per year.
